official list

My hats off to Playback:stl for the inspiration, and Thomas over at 52nd City for tipping me off to their list. I don't know why I didn't think to do this before.

Top Five Jell-o Salad Ingredients:

1. Pineapple

2. Mandarin Oranges

3. Carrots

4. Tomato Soup

5. Cottage Cheese

For more on my obsession with jell-o see here. And don't miss the mold that I will buy someday when I can think up something good to say.

hi, byron the Jell-O guy from www.playbackstl.com here. I am humbled by your list. My mom got me "into" Jell-O and now I'm obsessed with it, too. Ma can make a rainbow Jell-O with seven different colors stacked atop one another. It's freaky and awesome. You have GOT to play with the Jell-O online "Flavor Finder": http://www.kraftfoods.com/jello/products/flavor-finder/. So how do u combine it with tomato soup??

Whoa.
You just blew my mind.
Pina Colada Jello?!
Margarita! I could make a mean salad with some Margarita jello...

But as far as tomato soup goes -- mix it with lemon jello and you have a great base to make a savory salad with any variety of vegetables! The sky's the limit!

But 7 layers....I have yet to try that and I might have to rise to the challenge. I'll be sure to let you know if I do, and post pics.

HI Ginger

Grandma C. here. A Margarita Jello? Wow! I'll go for that. And if you are making tomato soup/lemon jello salad don't forget the mayo and cottage cheese. Did I put that in your recipe book? Grandpa whipped up a mean Florentine Pork Chop dish the other night. It is in that Encyclopedia of cookery.

What a beautiful tribute to Maggie.
